I enjoy speculating a lot. Especially when we still know very little about the thing I’m speculating about. It’s always fun when something I predicted ends up happening. And when it doesn’t, that’s fine too. It’s just fun.

Recently in the news, you may have heard that Amazon is creating a Lord of the Rings series. Details are scarce, but we know that it’s a prequel series to The Fellowship of the Ring, has the potential for multiple spin-offs, and we also know that they have the cooperation of the Tolkien Estate. What we don’t know is whether it will be canonical with the Peter Jackson films, or if they will be their own thing.

The Nature of the Multiverse

The multiverse is something that has emerged from time to time, though eventually, it has always reverted to the original single timeline. Time is constant, and though it can be fragmented, eventually each separate timeline will re-converge, much like a wound will eventually heal.

A multiverse will only begin if an event (or multiple events) create such strain on the timeline that it is forced to fragment to save itself from breaking completely. This act is usually rare and localized.

Who doesn’t love Thor? He’s handsome, crazy powerful, and kind of quirky in his attempts to understand Earth. Even if Thor’s not your favorite Avenger, you can’t help but like him. So, in honor of the latest Thor movie, Thor: Ragnorak, I decided to do an article on the Norse god himself.

Thor is a very interesting superhero since creators took him directly out of actual mythology. Compared to other superheroes that had their own beginnings, Thor has a rather unique background. It depends on the author, but Thor often draws influence from his mythological origins, adding some interesting elements to him, his battles, and his interactions with people on Earth. Whether the superhero version of him is similar to the mythological one is up for debate, but it’s still pretty interesting.  I mean, how many people can say that a member of a superhero team is literally a god?

I also don’t think Thor gets quite enough love in the MCU, but hopefully, this new movie has changed that. But he has quite the presence in comic books. So here are ten of the best comics and graphic novels starring our favorite Norse god and many fans’ favorite Avenger.
