The DC Comics Universe – This is the primary continuity for all of the DC Comics trade paperbacks. So most comics fit into this timeline. However, we’ve chosen only a small percentage of pre-Crisis timelines. Most of all the other pre-Crisis comics take place in an unlimited multiverse. Therefore, this DC Comics timeline makes up the main continuities.
- Crisis – Zero Hour

- New 52 – Convergence
- Post-Convergence – Rebirth
Character Timelines – Lists of comics relevant to specific characters in the DC Universe.
The Amalgam Universe – This is the official crossover universe between the DC and Marvel Universe, containing mashups of both. Therefore, you could argue that both universes exist in the same multiverse based on this series.
The Dark Knight Universe – Several Dark Knight stories were written as “what-if” scenarios, and all exist in the Dark Knight Universe.
Earth One Universe – The Earth One universe presents more realistic interpretations of the characters.
The DC Extended Universe – The main cinematic universe that started with 2012’s Man of Steel.
The Nolanverse – The Dark Knight trilogy directed by Christopher Nolan, and tie-in material.
The DC Animated Universe – The 90s-2000s series of DC animated shows, beginning with the Batman Animated Series.
The DC Animated Movie Universe – A collection of films aimed at slightly higher audiences.
Young Justice – Another animated universe featuring the younger DC heroes.
The Arrowverse Timeline – A shared universe that includes the shows Arrow, The Flash, Vixen, and Legends of Tomorrow.
The Smallville-verse – The live-action show Smallville and all of its tie-ins.
The Arkham Universe – The timeline for the Arkham Universe presented in the Batman: Arkham video games and their tie-ins.
The Injustice Universe – An alternate timeline where Superman turns bad, consisting of the Injustice videos games and their tie-ins.
