The Clone Wars 1.03: Shadow of Malevolence

Our Review

“Shadow of Malevolence” is more of an action episode, and it does this very well. Once again, the battle droids provide most of the humor for the episode, though in this case, it’s starting to feel overworked.

General Grievous is really disappointing. He doesn’t seem like the type of general that would be charged with so many assets because he keeps losing them. He really isn’t that fearsome of a character, despite his looks.

The space flight and combat is the best part of this episode, and it actually provides a small look into Anakin’s character, and Ahsoka’s as well. Overall, not the best episode, but a necessary one to move the story forward.
