The Clone Wars 1.08: Bombad Jedi

Our Review

“Bombad Jedi” is one of those episodes that does exactly what it sets out to do. It targets the demographic of the younger generation so beautifully. Jar Jar, though he might seem annoying in the past, is actually quite hilarious and very well suited to the animated television genre.

The plot is overall, uninteresting. The only major appeal to this episode is Jar Jar and especially his interactions with C-3PO. What happens otherwise is mostly political and predictable. Padme goes out of her way to get into trouble to help someone, she gets out of said trouble and inspires all around her. It’s not something we haven’t seen before.

Overall, this episode provides a fresh perspective to the canon and gives us our first official look at Rodia, the home of the Rodians, so famously portrayed first by Greedo in the Mos Eisley Cantina.
